Paro Valley:
This beautiful valley, where nature & man conjured to create their dearest image, with its rich terraced farmland, is home to some of Bhutan’s oldest Temples & Monasteries as well as Bhutan’s only Airport. To the north of the valley Mount. Jhomolhari (7300 meters) reigns in white glory and the glacier water from its peak plunge, through deep gorges finally forming pa – chu (paro river). The coastal areas are highly protected with all the safety measures for the tourists like flood restoration cleaning and quick restoration teams. The picturesque Paro valley is counted amongst the widest and greenest valleys of Bhutan. Tourist attractions of Paro, Bhutan are many, this is in fact where the international airport of the country is located, which is a sight in itself. This heart of Bhutan is surrounded by the fertile rice fields and serene Paro River (Pa Chu) which flows down the valley. It’s also one of the best Bhutanese towns to explore on foot. Together with Jakar and Punakha, Paro forms the golden triangle on the map of Bhutan. This quaint town is known for its significant sites.
